8 Inexpensive Valentine’s Day Ideas for Him

Ohhh Valentine’s Day! One of the most expensive holidays in America. A day where flowers cost more than usual and restaurant service is just terrible. Why go through all that hassle? I’m sharing 8 inexpensive ways to spoil your man on Valentine’s day.

It’s been almost 6 years since I met the man of my dreams. We’ve been truly inseparable ever since. We have done so much since the day we met. We have grown tremendously over the years. We have had the opportunity to travel, party, live together, move cross-country, work together, and even start our own little family. Before babies, it was just us. It was just the 2 of us insanely and completely in love. I love my man even more than I used to, not only because he is the father of our children, but because he proves his love and commitment to me every single day. His daily efforts to make us happy are never unappreciated.

We all know that raising a family can be hard at times. But I like to always acknowledge our marriage and give it equal, if not more attention, than the one I give our kids. I like to put him FIRST. Without HIM there is no “us” and without “us” there is no family.

Keeping the love young and fresh is SO important in our relationship. For that reason, I’m sharing a few ideas on what to do for your man on Valentine’s Day and every other day of the year because… why not?

Make Him Dinner

Valentine’s Day doesn’t necessarily have to be about going out and spending tons of money. Especially on over-priced meals that come along with bad food and terrible service. A man can appreciate his woman taking the time to look up a yummy recipe, shopping for the ingredients, and making him a delicious home-cooked meal. My mom always said: “The quickest way for a man’s heart is through his stomach.” Tip: Don’t forget the wine!

Watch A Movie

My husband and I love to watch a good movie every once in a while. We used to do it all the time when we were dating, why stop now? We also love watching Netflix series. We’re currently watching “The Crown”.

Give Each Other a Massage

That’s right ladies. Get some massage oil at the store, turn on some candles or dim the lights, put some spa music on Pandora, and hands-on! You don’t have to be a professional to do this. I’m sure he’ll definitely appreciate the intention.

Wear Lingerie

What’s sexier to a man than lingerie? Get dolled up, have some wine (get comfortable, of course), turn your sexy music on, and surprise him with your prettiest piece. He’s in for a treat!

Let Him Sleep In

We all know we need our beauty sleep every once in a while. Especially after you become a parent. Sleep seems so far-fetched that we kinda forget about it. Give him an extra hour or 2.

Breakfast in Bed

How awesome would it be to wake up and have your breakfast served in bed? I’ve done it before and it’s just perfect. Try these delicious and simple to make healthy pancakes. Add some freshly squeezed orange juice (yay for Vitamin C!) and some fresh fruits. You’re golden!

Give Him A Valentine’s Day Card

Pour your heart out in a love letter or write something simple yet straight-forward to the man you love. In my opinion, this never gets old.

Have Valentine’s Day themed Breakfast/ Lunch/ or Dinner

Tip! You can even do a mimosa bar. Bake some yummy heart-shaped brownies, or some chocolate dipped pretzels and indulge.

I hope this list of ideas was useful. My husband and I love doing something different every year. Surprisingly, we decided a few years ago that Valentine’s Day is not a day to go out. Instead, we embrace being at home and spending time together doing the things we love.

Happy Valentine’s Day everybody. Share the love!

If you have any more ideas, leave them in the comments below! I love changing it up every year.
